Our History
In the City of Huế, Vietnam, the former provincial capital, the remnants of the Imperial Palace's Red Brick walls remain remarkably intact, serving as a testament to the city's unwavering perseverance, strength and resilience in the face of hardship, war, and revolution.
Here at the Red Brick Wall Vietnamese restaurant, owners Cathy Truong and Wade Ngo were both refugee descendants whose families escaped the aftermaths of the Vietnam War. The pursuit of a better life for their families began with a journey by sea and was soon rewarded when they settled in Canada met with endless opportunities.
Growing up with delicacies from their home country, they continued their passions of food by opening up a restaurant being able to honor their heritage and history whilst continuing to uphold culinary roots and recipes.
